End-Point Assessment for the Learning and Development Practitioner Level 3 can be carried out remotely or face-to-face.

Gateway requirements for Learning and Development Practitioner Level 3 apprentices are;

Assessment Methods

Work-Based Project with Professional Discussion

Apprentices will implement a learning and development solution to a real business problem. They will submit a report on the project, with a recording of the delivery phase to demonstrate competence. The delivery will be between 2-7 hours. The Professional Discussion will last for 60 minutes and around 8-10 questions, based on the project, will be asked.

Presentation and Q&A based on Learning Journal

Apprentices will give a 20-minute presentation on 3 chosen examples from the Learning Journal that best demonstrate how they have developed their L&D practice and /or how they have developed their understanding of best practice. The Q&A will last for 25 minutes and there will be approximately 3-5 questions to seek clarification.

Apprentices will achieve an overall grade, Distinction, Merit, Pass or Fail for their End-Point Assessment. These results will be communicated within 10 days of assessment. Should a learner need to retake either or both assessment methods this will take place within 3 months of initial assessment.
