As we continue our countdown to International Women’s Day 2025, we at NQual are celebrating the women who are shaping industries, fostering innovation, and making a real difference. This year’s theme focuses on empowerment, leadership, and recognising achievements—qualities that define the remarkable individuals transforming workplaces and communities.
Today, we are proud to highlight Chloe and Charlotte from GMLPN (Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network), offering a glimpse into the challenges they have faced, the successes they have achieved, and the ways they continue to inspire and empower those around them.

What impact do you strive to make within your organisation and beyond?
"As a woman who has worked in leadership, I strive to make an impact by fostering a culture of empowerment. I aim to break down barriers that might prevent others, especially women, from pursuing leadership roles. By showing that growth is possible from all starting points, like my own journey from an apprentice to management, I hope to inspire others to believe in their potential and to never stay in their comfort zone."
How do you empower and support other women in your organisation?
"I believe that empowerment starts with listening and providing the tools and support needed for growth. Through collaboration and positive reinforcement, I have always supported women to view leadership as an attainable goal and encourage them to reach for it."
What achievement are you most proud of?
"Gaining the CMI Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership and winning the internal leader award for IWD 2024 at my previous organisation, this was voted for by the staff, which means more to me than any other award I have received. I am also proud of my career journey, in which I started as an Apprentice and worked my way up to Management."
Charlotte Jones, Project and Operations Manager
As a woman in leadership, what impact do you strive to make within your organisation and beyond?
"Being part of a small team of five, I aim to support and uplift my colleagues day-to-day, helping them grow and develop. I know what it’s like to start as an apprentice and work my way up, so I think it’s important to show others that progression is possible with the right support. I aim to create an environment where people feel valued, capable, and inspired to push themselves. Beyond our organisation, I’m passionate about championing apprenticeships and skills development, proving that they’re a real and successful route into leadership."
How do you empower and support other women in your organisation?
"I have been lucky enough to line manage and mentor two female apprentices in my time at GMLPN, both achieving a Distinction! I believe it’s so important to create a supportive environment at the beginning of people’s careers to ensure that they are empowered in their roles and understand the impact they can make. It’s great to also be supported by such a large network of women, through our Board, Advisory Board, Members and wider partners!"
What achievement are you most proud of?
"One of my proudest achievements is my own career journey, starting as a Level 3 Business Administration apprentice and progressing to a management role while completing a Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship. This not only demonstrates my personal growth but also reinforces the value of apprenticeships as a viable and successful career pathway. I’m also incredibly proud of the work we do at GMLPN to support our members to navigate the challenge, change and opportunity of the FE & Skills System in Greater Manchester. "
Dedication, Collaboration and Passion
The women of GMLPN exemplify dedication, collaboration, and a passion for driving change. Chloe and Charlotte's journeys are a testament to the power of expertise, leadership, and a commitment to supporting others, proving that real impact comes from creating opportunities and fostering growth.
We hope their stories inspire others to reflect on their own journeys and to step forward with confidence and ambition in their professional lives.
Let’s continue to celebrate, support, and uplift women—not just on International Women’s Day, but every day.
